Stop the HST

THE PETITION TO STOP THE BC LIBERAL HST

We, the undersigned, believe Gordon Campbell and the BC Liberals didn't tell the truth about the HST, didn't consult, and don't have a mandate to impose this $2 billion tax hike. We call on the Campbell government to scrap plans to implement the HST in 2010.

Rob RLangleyThe Liberals are not listening to the people that elected them to power. At 85% against the HST, they are covering up already incurred debt. I do not support the NDP, but am I with them in this battle.

Kaytee BrennerBurnabyMoney is not the awnser. We just bailed the fucking banks out and now you're putting tax on the food we eat. Capitalism will never work and never has. Where is the voice of those affected? OPPRESSED BY THE MEDIA THE GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO OWN TOO. Put a tax on our right to use the airwaves for radio, and the internet and you're taxing FREE SPEECH. REVOLT! REVOLT!

Alison LeaneySecheltthis tax will once again have the greatest negative impact on people who are already not managing financially. Not to mention the impact on non-profits.
Laura LeeVictoriaNo to the HST! It is going to do more harm than good.
Yvonne AndersonVancouver, BCOne problem with the HST is that restaurants will be subject to the tax as well. People will either choose not to dine out, which will hurt the restaurant industry, or if they do dine out, they will not tip the servers, which means that, ultimately, in this case, it is the servers who will be paying the tax.
