QUESNEL – New Democrats have nominated former Cariboo Regional District Director Duncan Barnett as their candidate in Cariboo-North for the 2013 provincial election.

“People in the Cariboo and the province deserve a new and better government,” says Barnett. “I’ll work hard to earn their votes and help make that happen.”

Barnett was a CRD Director for 10 years, and has owned and operated a ranch near Williams Lake for nearly two decades.

“Duncan will be a great candidate for Cariboo North,” says Adrian Dix, leader of the BC NDP. “He knows the issues in the constituency and has been working hard in the community for many years.”

Barnett was officially nominated as the BC NDP candidate at a meeting on January 20th in Quesnel.

Adrian Dix and the BC NDP are working to change BC for the better, one practical step at a time.
