VANCOUVER - Adrian Dix, leader of the B.C. New Democrats, released the following statement about Thomas Mulcair’s leadership victory:
“I want to congratulate Mr. Mulcair on his victory today and wish him the very best as leader of the party and leader of the Federal NDP official opposition in Ottawa. I’m very confident the party will unite around his leadership, hold the Conservative government to account, offer a compelling alternative government, and continue to build support for the federal NDP across the country.
“I also want to congratulate the other leadership candidates: Brian Topp, Nathan Cullen, Peggy Nash, Paul Dewar, Martin Singh, Niki Ashton, Romeo Saganash and Robert Chisholm. They all offered energy and ideas and conducted a leadership campaign that was a credit to the party.”
