Proportional Representation Challenge.
Be a champion pro-rep organizer!
We’re getting ready for the biggest campaign of the year: winning the referendum on proportional representation. To do that, we need your help — and your networks!
This weekend we’ve divided all our Forward attendees into five teams named after iconic BC beasts. Each team has a custom URL for the BC NDP’s proportional representation vote pledge.
Check your registration kit for your team button, and a card with your team’s custom URL.
How to play.
Using your custom link you and your team must gather as many pro-rep vote pledges as possible this weekend. You can share your team's link using email, social media, texting, livestreaming — whatever channels you have — and ask people to sign the pledge.
Step 1. Sign the pledge yourself.
Step 2. Share it far and wide!
Whichever team gets the most sign-ups to their URL before 11:30am Sunday wins BIG.
Work together!
Campaigns win when we work together. Connect with the other members of your team to talk strategy and brainstorm ideas. Ask friends and family who aren't at Forward to help you circulate the link to THEIR friends and from their friends to their friends and, well, you get the gist. You’ve only got until 11:30am on Sunday — what are you waiting for?
Prizes!
The winning team will be announced during the closing plenary on Sunday. Everyone on the winning team gets a special prize — and bragging rights! And, even if your team doesn't win this weekend, your work brings us closer to the big prize in November: winning the referendum and bringing in a new way of voting where every vote counts.
Team Raccoon.
The smartest urban campaigners. Their sneaky fingers know exactly where to drop lit — and how to get into high-rises without upsetting property managers. Watch out when they turn on the charm — they might just be stealing your turf.

Team Crab.
These clever crustaceans are absolute masters of the ground game. Determined and focused, they’ll take their time and claw their way straight to the top. Team Crab is great in a pinch, so don’t underestimate these small and mighty campaigners.

Team Hummingbird.
These feisty organizers are built for an air war, but they're equally comfortable working together to find the sweetest spots where supporters hang out. Watch out other teams — these little birds move fast!

Team Orca.
Majestic, iconic and uniquely British Columbian, Team Orca are killer campaigners. Charismatic online and off, orcas work together as a pod to find targets and win. They’re also masters of communication, so don’t be surprised when you see them trying out new tactics to (echo)locate dedicated supporters.

Team Grizzly.
Don't let those sweet eyes and fuzzy faces fool you — Grizzlies are built for battle and training up the next generation of campaign cubs. Make no mistake — these fine ursines are out of hibernation and ready to win.
