It’s time to bring the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into action in BC

We’re working together with Indigenous peoples to build a stronger BC that includes everyone. Are you with us?

This fall, John Horgan and the BC NDP government introduced historic legislation to uphold the human rights of Indigenous peoples, and become the first province in Canada to bring the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) into law.

This is a big step forward for reconciliation, so our government is working closely with Indigenous leaders, community members, business, labour, and municipal leaders to make sure we get it right.

Together, we’ll move forward with a clear, predictable path for everyone, with good jobs and opportunities, while recognizing Indigenous rights and protecting the environment.
