Aman Singh running for the BC NDP in Vancouver-Fraserview
VANCOUVER - Aman Singh is the BC NDP’s candidate in Vancouver-Fraserview, running to stand up for B.C., lower costs for people, and strengthen healthcare.
“Workers and business owners in Vancouver-Fraserview are already feeling uncertainty and stress from Trump’s tariffs, and they need a government willing to stand up to these unjustified attacks,” said Singh. “The BC NDP has a plan to free our economy from the US, bring down everyday costs for people, and protect the services that people count on - while the conservatives would roll over to Trump’s demands.”
Singh will run to succeed George Chow, who has been the BC NDP MLA in the riding since 2017, as Chow prepares to retire from politics.
“It has been a privilege to represent my community in the legislature for nearly a decade,” said Chow. “There is still more work to do, and I know Aman will be a great addition to David’s team, bringing the same commitment to standing up for people and delivering the programs and services they count on. I am proud to support him as our next MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview.”
A lawyer and small business owner, Singh previously served as the MLA for Richmond-Queensborough and has a long record of fighting for social justice and his community.
The BC NDP is focused on protecting families during these challenging times by building a stronger economy that is less reliant on the United States, lowering costs for families, and continuing the progress in recruiting more doctors and nurses to strengthen our healthcare system.
“Aman understands the difficulties that people are facing right now,” said David Eby, Leader of the BC NDP. “He is more than ready to follow George’s lead in fighting for his community.”
British Columbians go to the polls on October 24, 2026.
