BC NDP reports record-breaking fundraising, widens gap with other parties

The BC NDP is reporting a fundraising year of $4.5 million, a record outside of an election year.

Powered by more than twice as many small donors as the BCUP, the BC NDP raised half a million dollars more this year than last — more than the BCUP and BC Conservatives raised combined.

Kevin Falcon promised in 2022 that under his leadership, his party would soon be out-fundraising the BC NDP. That hasn’t happened in any fundraising quarter since.

In fact, counter to Falcon’s claims that their fourth-quarter fundraising was their ‘best ever’, they actually raised less in Q4 2023 than they did in Q4 2022.

“Everyday British Columbians are chipping in because they believe in the action David Eby is taking to help people with costs and tackle the housing crisis,” said BC NDP Provincial Director Heather Stoutenburg. “People are getting behind a leader who is working for everyone, not just those at the top.”
