Doerkson has held more fundraisers than media availabilities in the last two weeks

Interim Conservative Party Leader Lorne Doerkson has held just four media availabilities since October 9th. In those 14 days, he has taken just 19 total questions.

In that same period, David Eby has held 11 media availabilities and taken 145 questions.

Elections BC filings show that Doerkson has held at least five invite-only, $1,500 a ticket fundraisers in that time, not including an undisclosed event with Christy Clark.

Meanwhile, he has failed to explain how his fantastical platform costing won’t lead to healthcare cuts, what car insurance will cost under his secret deal with personal injury lawyers, or why he is making promises to donors behind closed doors that aren’t in his platform.

Earlier today, David Eby challenged Doerkson for hiding:

“The leader of the Conservative Party has been hiding for most of the campaign because British Columbians have questions. How are you going to pay for these $5 billion dollars in unfunded promises? Where are these cuts in the healthcare system going to come from? Is it going to come from my community? From my hospital? From my clinic? Where is that money going to come from?”

Video of Eby’s comments is available here.
