Our latest video flies the unfriendly skies with “Air Christy Clark”.

It’s no secret that Christy Clark’s BC Liberals and her donors are closely connected.

Since 2005, the BC Liberals have accepted more than $100 million dollars in corporate donations. They’ve taken money from oil and gas companies, from international real estate developers, from multinational forestry corporations and everyone in between. Her party even holds regular ‘cash for access’ fundraisers where attendees pay extra for a chance to sit next to her.

She spends so much time at these fundraisers that BC Liberal donors paid her an extra $300,000 on top of her regular taxpayer-funded salary. If British Columbia were an airplane, the BC Liberals would be celebrating in First Class and the rest of us would be stuffed in the back.

While Christy Clark and her donors live large, regular British Columbians are feeling the pinch.

During this campaign, you might have seen us share videos from people like Lawrence Watson and Inder and Ahmed Seedat. Unlike Clark’s big donors, these British Columbians have found their lives made harder by this government and its priorities. Lawrence is traveling far away from his family to find work, while Inder and Ahmed struggled to find a rental home and keep up with rising taxes and fees.

Those kind of contrasts are why we made this video too.

Clark talks a lot about her party’s achievements in BC, but most of us aren’t seeing the benefits she’s promised – and we’re ready for an upgrade.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to take big money’s influence out of politics – and John Horgan’s BC NDP is committed to it.

Electing John Horgan’s BC NDP means voting to end corporate and union donations to political parties and capping how much individual people can give. It’ll be one of the first – if not the very first –bills a BC NDP government will pass, and it’ll transform how government works in our province.

If you agree it’s time to come together and make a change, then please commit to vote for the BC NDP on May 9!
