Brittny Anderson seeks Nelson-Creston BC NDP nomination
Nelson councillor and entrepreneur, Brittny Anderson intends to succeed Michelle Mungall as the local BC NDP candidate.
Nelson City Councillor and small business owner, Brittny Anderson has put her name forward to seek the Nelson-Creston BC NDP nomination, following news Michelle Mungall will not seek re-election.
“I’m putting my name forward to join John Horgan’s NDP team because people here need someone who’s firmly on their side,” Brittny said. “Premier Horgan has guided us through this pandemic by staying focused on what matters most—keeping people safe while building an economic recovery that is sustainable and includes everyone.”
Brittny is a strong advocate for the Kootenays, serving on Nelson City Councillor and a Director on the Regional District of Central Kootenay. As the owner of a firm which supports the growing number of cannabis cultivators, Brittny understands the impacts COVID-19 has had on people and businesses in the region.
“I grew up in Nelson and lived in Creston and I have a deep love for the hardworking people that make up our communities,” Brittny said. “I will work hard every day to make life better for people and their families across the Kootenays.”
When not working, Brittny loves to hike the local trails with her dog, Stella, and go camping with her family.
