Vancouver-Quilchena BC NDP candidate says it’s time to build a better BC
Madeline Lalonde, an IT recruiter and youth activist, was acclaimed as the BC NDP candidate for Vancouver-Quilchena at a nomination meeting on February 9. Lalonde says she has seen how Christy Clark’s decision are hurting us and knows it’s time for change.
“Under Christy Clark, people are paying more and getting less,” said Lalonde. “Our MSP, Hydro and ICBC rates keep going up while our schools and hospitals are being cut.”
“It’s time for a government that champions the things people care about. The BC NDP has a plan to improve our healthcare, education system and protect our environment.”
“Madeline Lalonde is the kind of young leader that can help build a better BC,” said BC NDP Leader John Horgan. “We are proud to have her on our team.”
Lalonde got her start in politics at UBC where she was a strong advocate for youth involvement in politics. She has been a champion for the issues British Columbians care about, including fixing our education system, making life more affordable, getting big money out of politics and creating a government that works for everyone.
