Get ready for a #BetterBC with our campaign playlist.

It’s the final countdown here for the BC NDP campaign.

With four days to go until Election Day, we're overtired and overcaffeinated here at Campaign HQ. But we're also overjoyed to share something a little special with you today – a playlist of songs we've sourced from BC NDP candidates, supporters and volunteers all across this province. It's the music that gets them moving during these critical last campaign days – because there's always one more call to make and one more door to knock.

We call this playlist 'Songs for a #BetterBC'.

There’s a little bit of classic rock and soul in the mix.

Andrew from our rapid response communications team submitted Bruce Springsteen’s 'Land of Hope and Dreams'. “They played it at the end of Obama’s farewell speech, and it kills me every time,” he says.

Our field director Ryan Sudds also submitted The Boss. Just like Springsteen, we think he's Born to Run.

James, the campaign manager and “head DJ” in Vancouver-Kensington contributed the Sam Cooke classic ‘A Change is Gonna Come’. “I was raised on soul music,” he says.

Roseanne, the campaign manager from the Burnaby-Deer Lake, contributed Blue Oyster Cult: “We’ve been enjoying a few oldies in Deer Lake.”

Natalie Fletcher, our candidate in Prince George listens to Journey’s 'Don’t Stop Believing' to “get pumped.”

Derrick who is our regional organizer on Vancouver Island contributed Dusty Springfield - '24 hours from Tusla'. “Such a song. So spare in the chorus and refrain. And such a burst with the orchestra.”

Some excellent Canadian musicians are represented - including a bunch from here in beautiful BC.

Selina Robinson, our candidate in Coquitlam-Maillardville, loves Great Big Sea’s 'Ordinary Day'. (And we hear John's a fan, too.)

Suzanne Gallant, our video manager here at HQ, is a big fan of Serena Ryder's 'Got Your Number'.

Your co-authors, Caelie and Heather, are huge fans of #eastvan musical goddess Frazey Ford.

James and Nadine from the Skeena campaign sent in requests for Trooper and Tegan and Sara. Both of which we were happy to oblige.

We've thrown in some pop, hip-hop and funk from our younger (or young at heart) team members.

Veronica, a campaign manager in Penticton, says the city only has two radio stations – a country station and a top 40 station. “We picked top 40.” She contributed Ed Sheeran.

Benjamin in Richmond says he’s been playing Elton John - 'I'm Still Standing' - “nonstoppppp.”

Team members submitted Blackalicious, Dehli 2 Dublin, Notorious B.I.G, Beyonce and the Scissor Sisters.

And obviously, we had to include Ravi Kahlon's dance video track featuring 'Unforgettable' by French Montana and Swae Lee.

And it's all rounded out by some truly amazing (and super catchy) tunes from our fearless leader, John Horgan.

While he’s travelling across BC on the bus, John Horgan’s listening to a lot of music. He regularly enters a rally to Sloan's classic jam 'Believe in Me' and heads out to a little Justin Timberlake. And even though, he’s forever a fan of the Skydiggers classic ‘I will give you everything’, right now he’s getting pumped up behind the scenes to the Steve n’ Seagull’s cover version of the ACDC classic, ‘Thunderstruck’. And if you haven’t seen it, the video is so worth watching.

Are you ready to move, BC?
