The BC NDP: Taking action for you in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant

A by-election has been called for June 24 in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant.

Voting is one of the most important civic duties we have. It's our chance to choose the people who represent us and make big decisions about how our province is run.

In June 24th’s by-election here in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, that choice is very clear.

Since 2017, our BC NDP government has worked hard to make a difference everywhere in BC, and in Vancouver-Mount Pleasant. We are:

Putting more money in your pocket with BC Hydro credits, BC Affordability Credits and an ICBC rate freeze

Improving healthcare by building a second medical school and licensing more internationally-trained doctors and nurses to work in BC

Implementing the Safer Communities Action Plan and creating hundreds of new treatment spaces for people living with addictions

Tackling housing costs by taking on real estate speculators and getting more homes built by reducing barriers to new housing construction

And so much more.

For 16 years, the BC Liberals (now the BC United party) made choices that made life harder for British Columbians.

They raised fees on services that we all count on, made big cuts to education and healthcare and stood idly by while housing prices skyrocketed.

Even now, Kevin Falcon and his BCUP team are recklessly politicizing the toxic drug crisis and undermining solutions that save lives, like harm reduction. And, he’s said he’d cancel the BC NDP Speculation Tax and invite speculators back into the housing market.

Kevin Falcon's BC United party wants to roll back the progress we've made. For everyone in our community, we can't let that happen. In June 24th’s by-election, vote for Premier David Eby’s BC NDP team.
